An unidentified yellow crab spider on a daylily pod.
Karla, an Argiope aurantia ("black and yellow garden spider").
Karla got her name because she made her web among the scapes of daylily JOHN KARL SEAGER.
Gotta love spiders!
Kitty, an Argiope trifasciata ("banded garden spider").
Kitty, the first of this species that I'd ever seen, built her web between the scapes of daylily THUNDER CAT in 2013.  Here, she's already lost 2 of her legs and by the next morning, another had gone missing.
During the late October through early November de-scaping of the field, at least 20 other banded garden spiders were found but only one black and yellow was seen.
