PROPELLER BEANIE (2012 intro registered in 2011) 36" M DOR EMO If you see a propeller beanie in a comic, you know the wearer is a science fiction fan.  A science fiction fan almost as rabid as I saw a propeller beanie when shown a photo of this very contrasty russet orange with extremely dark maroon eye over a green throat Spider.  At 8" with a 12½" wingspan, you can tell just by the numbers that the blooms recurve and curl quite a bit; ratio is 4.5:1.  Rebloom scapes, produced here most years, can reach 41" tall but hold fewer buds than the earlier 22 with 2 laterals.  A very difficult pod parent, it does have strong pollen.  Makes skinnyish fans.
